Teeth Extractions
Our goal at Grace Dental Smiles is to help you enjoy a lifetime of optimal oral health.
One of the most important ways we do that is helping you keep your natural teeth strong and healthy for as long as possible with general dentistry.
While we will do everything in our power to avoid extracting a tooth, some conditions (including trauma and severe decay) require extraction to protect the integrity of the surrounding teeth.
Do I Need a Tooth Extraction?
Let’s face it: No one wants to hear that they need a tooth extracted. You can trust that we will never tell you that you need a tooth extraction unless it is the only option. A severely infected or broken tooth can pose a risk to your health, making it imperative to remove the tooth before it causes other issues. We always look at every alternative before advising you to have a tooth pulled.
Caring Teeth Extractions
When a tooth does need to be removed, we offer a gentle, caring atmosphere to complete the procedure. Dr. Einbinder will go over the procedure in detail so you know what to expect and answer any questions you may have. Most tooth extractions go quickly and without any issues. Often a tooth can be removed in just a few minutes; it can take longer for the anesthesia to take hold than the actual procedure. Some teeth can take longer, depending on the type, the amount of tooth left above the gum line, and other factors.
If you have a painful tooth or one that is severely damaged, please come see us at Grace Dental Smiles. We will always do everything we can to save your tooth. If it must be removed, we will make you comfortable and ensure you are not in any pain during the procedure. Be sure to ask about our oral sedation services to make your experience as relaxing as possible.
